Let me introduce myself. My name is Cheryl Kapfer and I have been in the Master Gardener's program for more than 10 years. Growing up, my family always had a vegetable garden and my mother loved her flower beds, so the gardening came naturally. But I knew there was more out there than vegetable gardening and flower beds. Mom usually planted annuals, I wanted to learn more about perennials. And I knew there had to be different and better ways to grow vegetables. Not to mention the many other areas of horticulture that the Master Gardener program covers. The knowledge I have gained through the Master Gardener program has helped me to instill in my daughters a love of gardening plus assist others with their gardening questions.
