I have been gardening with "organic" method for over 4 years now. With my fellow gardeners, I maintain 1/4 acre that is filled with vegetable garden, berry bushes, mushroom totems, and other perennials.
Organic gardening for me is to garden without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides and use what already exist in the garden, for instance, climate, materials, plants, and insects to address challenges that arise. And, we use OMRI listed product if necessary.
I hope to develop deeper understanding of "organic gardening" and explore ways of framing the concept with my language. I am also looking forward to explore how I can transfer what I learn in this course to my work with the community in Syracuse.
