I am a life-long gardener who loves to be out in the garden.  Weeding is one of my favorite activities, but I don't have all the time I would like to stay on top of it.

I have always tried to garden organically as doing things the way nature does seems to be the best way to success.  I feel that organic gardening is a very thoughtful way of approaching the home landscape and takes into account how cultural practices will impact the entire ecosystem in my yard.  It is hard to apply synthetic materials to the garden after you see the bees, birds and other beneficial creatures flocking to your garden.

i would like to increase my understanding of organic gardening with this course as well as interact with other students to gain knowledge and make friends.  This course will also help me stay committed to the ideals of organic gardening.

I very much relate to a reluctance to apply potentially harmful elements to an environment, when you can see and appreciate nature at work.
