Hello!  My name is Michael, and I'm from Vacaville, California.  I came to hear about permaculture when after 20+ years of complaining about pulling weeds in my family's yard we decided to look for something different.  Jumping feet first into 5 acres of land that hadn't been planted intentionally in over 50 years with the confidence of all that YouTube University could instill....was an abject failure.

Moving into the city with my wife and scaling back my design asperations (and actually TAKING a permaculture design course through Geoff Lawton), My wife and I have a landscape that is not only beautiful, but productive as well.  The family property, sadly soon to be sold, has a thriving kitchen garden and small food forest.  

I am a true believer in the process and benefits of permaculture and I am looking forward to expanding my grasp of the process and sharing that knowledge with friends, family, and neighbors (some of whom looked at us funny when we put in a banana circle, but we'll show them!).

I'm looking forward to getting to know some more people in the community and cant wait to get growing!
